Key Themes Across All Our Publications: Humility, Revival, Faith in Action

At the Verwer Hession Trust, our mission has always been to share messages that stir hearts, deepen spiritual life, and point people toward a more authentic walk with God. Across the many books, booklets, and resources available for free on our website, certain themes consistently rise to the surface. These are not trends or passing emphases—they are timeless truths that speak powerfully to every generation.

Three of these themes stand out again and again: humility, revival, and faith in action. Together, they form a pathway for personal transformation and lasting spiritual impact.

Humility: The Foundation of Spiritual Life

Humility is not simply one virtue among many—it is the soil in which all other virtues grow. George and Roy’s publications repeatedly emphasise that a right relationship with God begins with a right posture of the heart.

True humility is not self-deprecation or weakness. Rather, it is an honest recognition of our day-to-day dependence on God. It means laying aside pride, self-sufficiency, and the desire for recognition, and instead embracing surrender, teachability, and openness.

Both George and Roy highlight a crucial truth: God works most powerfully through those who are emptied of self. When we stop striving to maintain our image or control outcomes, we create space for God’s grace to operate freely in and through us.
